I am a first year PhD student in both the Anbar lab and the Hartnett lab interested in astrobiology, particularly biosignatures and exoplanet detection. Throughout my degree I aim to explore biogeochemical processes using microbial analysis, geochemistry, and network modeling to better understand how life manifests on a planetary scale. My current project focuses on understanding the origin of banded iron formations by experimentally testing a photogeochemical model for the oxidation or iron in simulated Archean oceans.
In my spare time, I enjoy traveling and exploring different cultures though history, food and art. I also like learning how to cook meals from around the world.
