Xinming-Chen-250My research focuses on using isotopes as fingerprints to track geochemical processes of the environment, like the changes of redox conditions, sources and transport of contaminants, ect. I joined the group in 2012 as a PhD student. Now I am working with the U isotope fractionation during coprecipitation with calcite and aragonite to see whether the U isotope in marine carbonate can be used as a reliable redox proxy for the ocean.
